'We finished the game strong'
FT: Man City 4-1 Wolves

Manchester City goalscorer Riyad Mahrez speaking to BT Sport: "I was a tough game. We started very, very good and we created chances.

"We could've killed the game in the first half - second-half was a bit more difficult but we still created chances and then we finished very good. We kept going and kept pressing.

"Sometimes you can have the ball for 90% of the time and you don't kill the game. The last 10 minutes were so good. We scored and we finished the game strong and we are very happy.

"We have to play game by game. The next game is Manchester United and we need to stay focused to try and win this game.

"It's difficult sometimes when we change six or seven players but every player is so good and everybody makes their contributions."

'We're gutted'
FT: Man City 4-1 Wolves

Wolves goalscorer Conor Coady speaking to BT Sport: "It was about staying in the game. We know what a good team they are. That was our way of going about it. You go 1-0 down and it's about staying in the game. We can't let the game get away from us like it did. We're gutted.

"No one is frightened about being on a football poitch. They're world class but we wanted to test ourselves. It was about staying in there and I thought we played some really good stuff. It's disappointing from our point of view."

On scoring his first Premier League goal: "It means nothing when you lose. It was nice at the time because it made it 1-1 but we needed to kick on a little bit. To score is great but it doesn't mean anything when you lose."

'Only thought is Man Utd'
FT: Man City 4-1 Wolves

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola speaking to BT Sport: "We were fantastic. After 1-1 we suffered but we created lots of chances in the end."

On winning 21 games in a row: "Manchester United. That's all we care [about now]. The champions is Liverpool, the crown belongs to them. We are in the best posiition right now to take them out and we are going to try but they are the champions.

"There is 33 points to play [for]. Tomorrow our opponents will play, we have one or two days off and prepare for Manchester United at home."

'City punished us'
FT: Man City 4-1 Wolves

Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo speaking to Match of the Day: "First half we were organised but no fight, there was a lot of possession from City.

Second half we had more pressing, were higher up the pitch and creating threats in our possession - which we sustained for a spell of the game. The boys were solid and compact.

"The game went by but we were not able to sustain this and we got punished.

"We felt that we were on the front foot in the second half but after we draw the reaction was not to sustain but we faced a very good opponent.

"The plan didn't work for so long but we faced a very good opponent and had good lines of possession. Your task is harder when City have the advantage. The boys did well, there is no perfect plan ever in the game but we were facing a team with a very good plan also.

"We must look at the game because we made a couple of mistakes under the pressure of City and they are very dangerous and they will punish you.

"City are very talented, amazing players, amazing manager. All the other teams that come here find it difficult because they are a good opponent."

'We were after anxious after the equaliser'
FT: Man City 4-1 Wolves

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola speaking to Match of the Day: "We were little bit anxious after 1-1 but we reacted really well after we scored the goals.

"It was well deserved - we played really good. The games are tight and in the last minutes we win the game comfortably.

"After 1-1, they were dangerous but we continued to take the ball and we didn’t give up and that’s a good lesson for us the little details.

"When you see the performance we were really good. I felt this morning that we were together and we were ready to try again.

"It’s a short calendar this season. We didn’t have one long week - there are so many games and playing Wolves with their physicality and mentality; I’m more than pleased with what we’ve done so far and we can enjoy tonight, rest and prepare for the next one.

On Manchester City's winning record: "The record we will talk about in the future. In Winter time - November, December, January in England, it is hell! It’s more than remarkable. I’m more than proud but at the same time, Liverpool are the champions. To win the Premier League we need those points.
