Another positive this season over last season is how many players we get in the box in open play versus last season. The goal we scored where three players are in the six yard box is hard for defenders, last season we would’ve had a line striker on the penalty box.

Sure Watkins had a couple of chances but mostly he was dealing with balls with his back to goal and actually not very good ones either. There is a goal machine in him if things can be figured out. So unlucky to lose.

Fuming about the penalty. It could have been an exciting, end to end, fair and even game between two in form, decent teams. A point would have been a fair result for both teams, the referee was the difference tonight.

Watkins has had perfectly good goals disallowed and others where the keepers have made top saves. The goals will come, hopefully soon but even so, he’s proving to be a very good team player. Firmino doesn’t score many but is essential to Liverpool.
