'Most comfortable 1-0 you will ever see'
FT: Olympiakos 0-1 Man City

Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

There are 1-0s and there are 1-0s and often you don't know what's going to happen. Be honest, did you think Olympiakos were really going to get back in this game? That's one of the most comfortable 1-0 wins you will ever see. Bad news for Burnley is City look like they've not even exerted themselves too much.

Just from the highlights alone we seemed to be moving the ball much faster, making passes to players moving off the ball much quicker. But every shot bar one seemed to right at the keeper - like a flipping magnet.

Am I mis-remembering or was there a time when you had to be goal-side of the defender to be offside? You know.....back in the day when there had to be demonstrably a gap between the attacker and the defender’s body.....? You know....like visible daylight.......?

Or is age taking it’s toll on my grey matter? :wheelchair:
