Liam Bridcutt

More good news: the signing that most had on their wish list but didn’t necessarily expect. Liam will lead by example, he made it sound that he really wanted to be here because of MA’s qualities and desire.

Things seem to be falling neatly into place at the moment. Welcome aboard again.

5 years ago we recruited an experience midfielder, and thought he was a step in the right direction -Craig Stanley, from Eastleigh, in the same league (National League).

3 years ago, as an OMG! with Harry A's permanent signing, we get an experienced midfielder in Bozzie, from Posh, where he has won player of the season awards and been captain, a league above (L1).

Today, we sign Liam Bridcutt, a £m player with premiership experience, from Forest, a league above (Championship) and where he has won player of the season awards and been captain.

This is how we've progressed, and it's stunning.

Bridcutt is exactly the sort of signing we needed. Someone with vast experience and has already showed in just 5 games what he has to offer. At least £3.5m in transfer fees for him in his career so far, no doubt he could still be playing in the Championship.

Definitely steadied the ship and has given us much more positive news after some favourite players have left recently.

Not sure it’s a coincidence his signing being on the day that the salary cap passed. Delighted to see him back. Championship level player who’s been there, done it and even better made mistakes to learn from.

Think its more likely the signing depended on Payne leaving.

This is a fantastic signing for us. He's shown that he's a great player with huge amount of experience. As has been discussed, he'll likely be the captain.

Looks like he's moved for decent money three times in his career, when he joined Sunderland, Leeds and forest.
