Cheers for these Keith, can never remember them. Baffles me how the PL season starts a week later yet their fixtures are released a week earlier!

18/6 - 47 days to go.
I was wondering when pre-season starts, a week today on Mon 25/6 or two weeks today on Mon 2/7, no announcement yet?
If it’s 2/7 there will be 33 days to assemble and get a new squad fit and ready.
We play our first friendly at Yeovil on 11/7, just over three weeks away.
Not a lot of time to get a squad together.and the transfer window closes Thur 9/8.
Although we are still able to -
Sign players on standard loan deals up to 31/8.
Sign players on standard loan deals up to 31/8 with an option to complete a permanent transfer when the next window opens.
Register players who are not registered with a club during the period up until 31/8.
Transfer players out to a club in any league whose window is still open.

Not a lot of time, especially with us and our track record of doing things.
We need to get some players out of the door and some money in as well. Not sure when the players report back but had a feeling it was early July but not sure.

Usually first Monday in July, but that was when we were in PL.
Championship season starts one week before PL, therefore one week less pre-season preparation if we stick with 2/7.

Not a very attractive time, who wants to travel away for a Saturday night match, but who cares about the away fans anyway, certainly not the tv companies.
