From Argentinian top flight club Newell’s Old Boys’ twitter account yesterday:

“On this day in 1853, Isaac Newell was born in the town of Strood in Kent, England. At a young age, he arrived in Rosario and established a school.

Later, in 1903, his son Claudio would set up a football club named after his trailblazing father: Club Atlético Newell's Old Boys.”
