Simple one tonight - "duck flavoured" noodles, with added carrot strips and sliced mushrooms. Also, date and walnut cake with some Greek yogurt. And a beer.

Monday night: veggie burgers in cheese-topped rolls, with veg (I've forgotten what). Yesterday: hunter's chicken for me, with chips and broccoli. Today: chow mein-sauced veg stir fry (plus fake beef strips), with sushi rice (ran out of normal rice).

I saw 65daysofstatic in Manchester on Friday night, as they played their Wild Light album in full for the 10th anniversary. Really good and well worth the horrific amount of driving involved!

Last night dinner for me was a Korean chicken bao bun to start, firecracker chicken and rice for main, and a raspberry turnover and cream slice for pud. A good feed after a busy (and sweltering) day.

Exactly what I was thinking. Also, it's a different matter when you have staff, opposing subs etc potentially trying to give you some grief.

Bit of a weird mix tonight, but it was decent enough: herring in cream, dill and gherkin sauce, corn on the cob with chive butter, home made raita, and sweet potato and courgette wegdes cooked in a frying pan with toasted sesame oil, soy sauce and sweet chilli sauce until caramelised.

Easy one tonight, just pasta with pesto and Quorn pieces.
