any talk of Olly Lee returning? Would be surprised if Evans wasn’t after him.
Hearts got relegated and I can’t imagine he wants to play in the first division there. Still under contract but they might want him off the wage bill??
That’s what I was thinking.. Gills were in for Tyler Walker in the summer. I reckon we’re biding our time to get him in on loan rather than pay a fee for Akinde permanently.
I also heard from a shrimper mate that Hopper was on £7500 a week there! Can’t be true, surely?!?
Was lucky enough to welcome a baby boy 7 months ago. Reading that made me well up. Wishing all the best to him and his wife in what must be a terrible time. Up the Gills.
I agree with all you’re points, I just found it a strange post in the first place. Definitely wouldn’t regard a team of that stature taking 260 fans away as “fair play”. In fact I see it as proof that despite their success they are, and always will be, a small time club.
Terrible standard midweek league 1 / 2 game vs biggest club competition in the world away game in which you’re favourites to win the whole thing. Hmmmm....
To be fair I don’t think the poster was just talking about SL. If he was talking about the previous incumbents aswell, ie PT, AP and then PT again then I’d 100% agree with the “useless” statement
It was tongue in cheek.
I’d be willing to bet we took more than .05% of our average gate. And it’s not exactly watching Man City in the Champions league.
Fair play?
Is that a joke?
Won the domestic treble last season. Averaged about 100 points over the last 2 premier league season.
Probably the best assembled premier league team in history.
Favourites for this season's Champions League...
and they can only muster taking 260 fans to a European...
Was at the cricket today so missed the game but well done Gills. Proud of the boys, sets us up for a good weekend. Definitely agree that we're on the right track. UTG
