Surely Lapslie would only go to free up money for a big-ish signing? Lapslie, Bonne and Nichols is a lot of money saved.

I think rolling the dice is a fair assesment but definitely a good decision. A few signings can put energy into the squad. We saw last year that the quality of our existing players shot up when the new ones came in.
