I don't judge a DM by final third passes. I'm not sure anyone does.
You said in previous post you said his passing success % is high because he only passes sideways which is a myth and now you're shifting the goalposts by throwing in final third passes.
Well actually was in podcast recently he has 2nd most progressive pass metres after McGinn. Not sure if that's since Gerrard or this season. Anyway another myth busted but alas it looks like he's out for 2021 sadly
We have the normal number of coaches now. Before seemed bloated relative to other clubs. His contract expired apparently and decided to take retirement aged 64 other reports saying offered u-23 coaching role and turned it down. It's looked ever since Shakespeare came in he's been #2. Don't know...
Highly rated Sanson got bought earlier than planned got rushed into team played 200 odd minutes and got injured. Seems many have written him off already
I agree with this.
Robertson (MON public face claiming glory) was successful with Forest Funnel because it hadn't been seen for decades but eventually teams figured it out and the wheels fell off
I went through headers won per game in PL last season top 100 about 4 in 100 were mids the vast vast majority were defenders or forwards.
Winning headers as a DM is almost irrelevant.
Looking at friendly highlights looks like we played 433 Watkins Ings AEG which is what I suspected when saw line up. We won't play 442 because we don't have orthodox wingers and it's not the 1980's
Sanson was class in Ligue 1. Was supposed to be target this season but club saw opportunity and went for him early. He's in top 1% for pressures and successful pressures. He got rushed last season when we were all over the shop and got season ending injury. It's stupid that people written him...
