    Around the Grounds

The bit of the statement quoted in the OP does sound like the work of a group of kids for a Primary school project, doesn't it? I particularly enjoyed "Then we create what we call a funding stack, and it will all eventually add up to whatever the budget turns out to be" Well, with that sort of...

Match Thread: Reading v Lincoln City

Agree with your general point, Scotimp. He's never been part of a losing matchday Imps squad either.

Can't argue about Cambridge, Mike (their 4-0 loss on Saturday indicates they are woeful at the moment), but would suggest you're not remembering the Barnsley game accurately. They definitely could, perhaps should, have scored a couple more at least. Just goes to show that despite what the...

Gazza, the saddest interview you will see

Believe his last Football League game was the one at Sincil Bank where he did that daft 'Rugby kick' style celebration - a comment on KA's style of play presumably - after he whipped in the cross for Jason Lee to score.

Can we make the play offs?

    Oh yes!

𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄: Midfielder Returns For Second Spell - HAVE A READ!

Can I report this post for containing strong elements of common sense?

    Hakeeb Departs

You may be right Mike. But imagine if any of us did similar in a highly paid job? (I know it's pretty pointless comparing real world jobs with football, it exists in it's own bubble) It also makes me wonder what he was like in training, if that was his attitude in a match. Anyway, leave it...

    Managerial merry go round

Highest League finish in nearly 40 years, and probably the best football seen in that time?!? "What have the Romans ever done for us?!?!"

    Hakeeb Departs

Can I just add a smidgeon of balance to all the comments about his "professionalism"? This is a player who left the field of play while a competitive game was ongoing to have a drink of water, unsurprisingly losing the player he was meant to be marking in the process, and gifting the opposition...

    Ex-Imps Discussion Thread

Thank God someone finally pointed this out! Thanks Clive. Meant to say similar myself months ago, but concerned I'd be pilloried as having tinted red & white specs and 'being in bed' with the club (always amuses me, shouldn't I be these things - to some extent -after nearly half a century of...

Which Ground Is The Coldest You've Ever Visited On An Away Day?

I've already said that Hartlepool is the correct answer but there was a New Years Day match at Scarborough, probably around 1990, where I was stood in several layers and felt chilly, but there was a fella next to me in just a shirt and denim jacket. Madness! He was definitely in the most...

Which Ground Is The Coldest You've Ever Visited On An Away Day?

Can’t believe I got halfway down second page before someone gave the correct answer. Hartlepool every time! There’s a gap in the away end between the wall and the roof and it faces north easterly towards the sea. Even at start or end of season it’s freezing.

    Exeter City - Past Encounters

Thanks Bazzer. Explains it. Think she dumped me in August 94!

    Exeter City - Past Encounters

Think your memory is correct. Bizarre that I've never seen us play in Exeter. Had a girlfriend at Uni there in early 90s so spent many weekends there. Know I went to Torquay to see us on one such visit, but never St James's (guessing they were a division above?).

Match Thread: Lincoln City v Charlton Athletic

Perhaps he'll come off the pitch and take a drink from a bottle of water in MApp's face as celebration? Sorry, but absolutely in the MApp corner on that incident. Speaks volumes about Adelakun's attitude, and he got what he deserved.
