Summer transfer window thread

I suspect the negotiations about an option to buy have centered around us wanting that money knocked off the final set price if we take the option
Have to agree, surely we won’t be paying all the wages without an option, wouldn’t make any sense.

It’s a lot of bloody wages either way though, can’t get used to this prem malarkey, the difference between the 2 leagues is almost comical.

So £6m-ish in salary, and presumably there's a loan fee also?
Fair to say that fee would be £2m at the very least (random speculative number) that's £8m for a player we're borrowing...wowsers.
hope we aint paying all his wages as he's way overpaid :( If we are then Samba would be way more than justified in his outburst.

Gary Crosby jumped straight from non league to the top flight too - no league 1 or 2 bedding in or getting experience- from non league and straight into playing in massive games . That takes some balls and ability.
I cannot think of one other player maybe apart from Roy Keane since then who’s managed to do it ?
David Platt – from Crewe Alexandra to Aston Villa (1988) – from the English fourth tier in 1988 to England National team in 1989
Rob Jones – from Crewe Alexandra to Liverpool (1991) – from the English fourth tier in 1991 to England National team in 1992

What is crazy is, we’re potentially about to surpass the record fee Newcastle paid for Shearer (£16.2m).

Shows how long we’ve been slumming it as that was the thick end of 30 years ago.

Most of the recent reports are saying that there is no option included. Man Ure are hedging their bets.

The loan fee negotiations are likely to be how we afford Hendo’s wages.
