Transfer Targets 2021/22 Season

There is nothing on the AV or Arsenal forums linking them with Berge if there ever was they have moved on. The injury and the fee will certainly be the main factor in any deal being made.
The odds are he will be here until Jan, totally dependent on him proving his fitness and displaying why we spent a serious wedge on him if he wants a move.

Anyone else other than Dezza and me remember the Please don't go Chris thread by our resident stud fantasist? What a fickle fan you are Sean mi owd pal.:ROFLMAO: If only you'd been our manager eh?:ROFLMAO: Chuff the fact that without our Chris we wouldn't have been anywhere near the Prem. UTB

Rod you have to learn to take everything with a pinch of salt, because posters opinions can change within the hour. SJ really has to hit the ground running, which the majority of fans hope he does, but judging by some of our fickle fan base he won't get long.

Not the point was was trying to make SBT. Are we in a fire sale scenario then?
Don't we get parachute payments reducing over two years?

No Chips we aren't in a fire sale. That would mean for example getting Berge off the payroll for £10m, we do however , like Fulham and West Brom need to readjust to take account of our situation. Parachute payments aren't the same as what we took for finishing bottom of the prem.

Brighton reject a £40 million bid for Ben White from Arsenal. I thought they had no money and could not afford Berge ?. I say hold out and don't lower the price. If we keep him he will only increase in value.
Stalker?:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: That's a cracker coming from the sex fantasist who mentions Gods own village in at about half his posts and me in about 75% of his posts.Tha does make me smile Beany mi owd pal.UTB

Might help if you replied to the person you're talking to.
Stalking has absolutely nothing to do with the content of a post. It is the persistant and predictable jumping on every post someone makes.
Put simply in "real life" it wouldn't be what you said to me, it would be the fact that you were creeping around everywhere I went, sat outside my house, happened to be where I was socialising etc. I appreciate theres the square root of sweet FA to do in Treeton but maybe take your milky cow Molly out a lot more. Take your mind off what I'm up to.

Hmm replying to beany through the medium of bfl that’s a new one 🤔
goin senile in yer old age pal
Yes my mistake, but i think you all know who i'm talking about. The sex fantasist who once again(post130) has mentioned Gods own village and calls me a stalker.:ROFLMAO: By the way our Gertie and me took our gorgeous Grand Daughter to the Molly Milky Cow on Wednesday, the Ice Cream was luvly. It really is beautiful scenery out there at Bradfield and Loxley,we love having lunch at the Old Horns pub and also we've been to the Admiral Rodney at Loxley regularly, just to bust yet another myth that i never leave Gods own Village. UTB

Napoli being linked with Sander today(News now pages) UTB

100% Arsenal or Napoli will not pay £35 million for Berge. Surely there is a compromise here. We sell Berge to them for £25 million and get 2 good young players on loan (Arsenal have some quality younger players near to their first team). We also tell them to forget about Ramsdale unless they are prepared to pay £40 million (if they can offer that for Ben White then why not).
Italian clubs are in financial trouble and Napoli will offer peanuts.

I think he’s an Arsenal type of player and they would suit each other but they will try to get him for peanuts it’s a good point about young players on loan but we need to cover the hefty sell on clause genk insisted on we shouldn’t be losing money on him, I’d accept a loss on a few of our players but not him

Or two good permanents
Why give them our players cheap and then train their apprentices up for them as well

There's a photo of Berge at a Napoli facility by the looks of it. Don't know if genuine. Could have been taken when he was there with Genk around 18 months ago.

Doubt Napoli can give us what we want but they did spend big on Osimhen last summer. Maybe they'll sell Fabian Ruiz and that will fund it, with Berge his replacement.

You make a good point but I am talking about players who are more developed than our best U23’s. Give our lads a further 6 months under Slav and we have potentially 5 very good young players. Our academy could be the bridge between lack of significant new investment and save us millions.

I find it hard to believe Berge's agent agreed to have a 35 million release clause inserted in his contract. It's been reported that SUFC was a stepping stone for him, the odds were we would be relegated the first year, we dodged the first bullet not the second.
Why would he agree to a clause that would hinder him jumping ship as soon as possible, doesn't make sense. He hasn't looked like a 35 mill player, his injury will be a factor until he actually plays some competitive football we won't know if he has recovered.
Hopefully somebody will part with some cash, but I'm sure there are players available out there who carry less risk at 35mill than Berge but football never surprises.

I agree with that but I am also happy that at last we are playing hard ball. If he stays I am more than happy and we can generate money from McB and Bogle. I think Slav will utilise the U23’ a lot more. To be fair it will be exciting to see attacking fair football,
