No, part of this excersie is to keep my brain mathematically ticking over and agile. The actual posts give me the ratings, I then compile the averages and post them on here. When the summary is due I go back through this thread and access the figures I need. So this thread is my data file really.LOl! fecking 'ell - you ever use excel?!
As a taster here are the results for the ratings averages from posters for the second half of the season in order of merit. So excluding media. Remember as previously found, attaining a 7 would be exceptional.

There are a few things to consider. The number of games played will be a big factor on the average. So the positions are not necessarily a true reflection yet !! I will add the first half of the season soon and decide the cut off point. I'm not sure what it could or should be yet. Maybe if a player falls below say 50% of the average number played, he should not be included.? Or suggestions are welcome.
On this provisional indicator table I would suggest Kane at number 4 is the true number 1 because those above him have only played 28 games between 3 of them and he's played that many on his own !!
Dele and Sanchez are the surprises for me but others may see it differently. Both may have the perception of having a bad season. Dele may get excluded from the list yet but its still a creditable rating of 6.66 over 17 appearances !!
Hopefully this will fuel some discussion and opinions over this quiet period.

I am going to have 2 lists with a cut off point for inclusion in the main list. I am not sure what that cut off should be yet. 50 % might be the obvious point, or is it ?I suspect for a true 'whole season' rating you have to set a minimum number of appearances and perhaps have a second 'set' for those who didn't meet the minimum criteria?
But so far, great work.

Well done Nick, good job. How Lo Celso with barely a goal or assist all season can finish 6th and 8th in the respective tables, with Bale 12th and 13th is beyond me. There was me thinking that match winning ability was important.Final Forum and Media combined ratings

This is the combination of Forum and Media for the whole season. So that's us, websites, newspapers and Sky TV. So possibly the most balanced of the 3 tables ?

I think the media one is pretty much bang on except I'd swap Bale and Alli.Final Media/ Web average ratings for the whole season. Same cut off point of 24 games.

Worth considering which of the two tables is more of a fair representation.
