I thought ASDA was owned by Wallmart or Target or one of those American companies.
The quality of food at Asda has certainly gone down.
It was until recently when it was bought out by two billionaire brothers who made their money through petrol forecourts.
Asda has generally been the cheapest supermarket of the big ones by some way. They need to bring back the saving the penny adverts, and get rid of that terrible advert they have on the TV - it’s an awful advert with an awful actor.

The retailer said it "does not expect" all of its department stores to reopen once lockdown restrictions ease.
It has previously been reported the chain was considering closing up to eight more stores to try to cut costs.
Any further closures would be in addition to eight already announced in 2020.

I am sure they are looking at diversifying with stores not reopening and turning them in apartments and muses for the rental and sale market

Most of the shops around here are called to-let, I think it's a new chain they are everywhere.thats another empty shop in Solihull town centre then , no doubt replaced by a charity shop, Vape bar or bookies
Covid is definitely pushing a change in retail. There are a lot of empty retail units everywhere. However, there will be a boom for bars and restaurants when this is all over.
