Birmingham History Thread - then and now

Even as a youngster, it's surprising how many of those images I seem to remember from being a kid...yet the last time I was in Brum when I had a little wonder around, I probably knew where I was about twice lol

Always got the bus into town and got off at "The Beehive"
Always got the bus home from Bull Street.

Loved the Science Museum back in the 70's it was an amazing place.

Is it still there, does it still have the City of Birmingham loco in the front window?
I went to the art gallery some years back, a place that I always enjoyed a visit to, and they had shrunk it.
Seen more art in grannies front room.

Closed down some years ago mate. I spent may a happy hour in there as a kid.

Moved to Gas Street was it - or was that where it was? lol

I know it at least originally moved as an ex's old man worked there, be tragic if they have shut it completely now.
