Questions should be asked why a test, which is in short supply has been used on him; especially as he only has 'mild symptoms'
He’s heir to the throne duck.

Ok I will set the ball rolling. Why should a test for a killer virus be used on the next in line for the throne of the country.Questions should be asked why a test, which is in short supply has been used on him; especially as he only has 'mild symptoms'
Because they cost £600 privately and we are all paying the bill.Ok I will set the ball rolling. Why should a test for a killer virus be used on the next in line for the throne of the country.

There is no path to refusal for Labour. The optics of refusal would be totally catastrophic with no possible gain. Any offer and Labour is trapped into accepting. On first reading I scoffed at this, but it has merit IMO.
Firstly though, Jeremy Corbyn should certainly not have any role. As the defeated, outgoing leader, he no longer has a personal mandate; but what if his successor, most likely Starmer, stood in?
I'm sure the government could find some way to bring the Opposition in on what is happening for the duration of the crisis. It doesn't necessarily have to be formal either.
If Boris were to invite Starmer (or whoever) to join the fight, it would be a big gesture. The risk would be that it would split Labour and therefore a prospective new leader would probably refuse; but the Labour party's gain by accepting, could be it would demonstrate to the public, it is able to be a party capable of government once more??
My apologies; Clarence House has confirmed that Charles DID have his test on the NHS, apparently on account of his age. In which case, I share the general sense of annoyance about thisBecause they cost £600 privately and we are all paying the bill.
You don't think he got it on the NHS surely duck?

But it's a risk for Johnson as well. What if (as is likely), Starmer, exposed to greater media attention, proved himself both competent and likeable?
Fucking boomers. Take, take, take. My apologies; Clarence House has confirmed that Charles DID have his test on the NHS, apparently on account of his age. In which case, I share the general sense of annoyance about this

"A criminal investigation has been launched in Austria into allegations an initial coronavirus infection was covered up at a ski resort that has since been identified as a major centre of the European outbreak.
Hundreds of infections in Germany, Iceland, Norway and Denmark have been traced back to the resort of Ischgl in the Tyrolean Alps.
Austrian authorities are already facing questions after it emerged the resort was allowed to remain open for a week after the alarm was raised.
But if the claims are true, it appears the outbreak in Ischgl might have been stopped even earlier, after Austrian prosecutors on Tuesday opened an investigation into allegations a suspected infection in the resort was covered up as early as February.
According to the allegations, a member of staff at a local business was suspected to be infected with the virus but the case was not reported to to the health authorities.
"The allegations are so serious they have to be investigated immediately," a spokesman for the Tyrol regional government said.
The new allegations come days after a text message emerged which appeared to show local politicians knew about the outbreak in Ischgl as early as March 9 but urged tourist businesses to hush it up.
The resort was not closed until March 13 — a full week after the Icelandic authorities warned their Austrian counterparts they were seeing a spate of coronavirus infections in people returning from skiing holidays there.
Ischgl is known for its raucous après-ski nightlife. The resort brings in artificial snow every year to prolong the ski season until May and drinking games continue into the early hours of the morning at its bars.
But those drinking games are believed to have helped spread the coronavirus. In particular, the game of “beer pong” — in which contestants take turns to spit the same ping-pong ball into a beer glass — is believed to have contributed to the spread. "
