Brexit and football

You don't understand because you don't listen.

A lot of what is said about him is bollocks.

Public opinion of him and the polls are not. They have been very consistent over the last four years.

The public, as a whole, hate him don't want him as prime minister.

As a result, Labour have failed to dent the most easily topplable Tory governments in a generation.

I want a labour government and prime minister. That will never happen while Corbyn is leader. That is my problem with him

In 2016 172 out of 212 Labour MPs voted that they had no confidence that Corbyn could lead the Labour Party. I wonder how many of those 172 are pretending to back him now ?

Why would I want to travel to Corbyn's constituency to talk to Jewish people when I can do it here?

Clearly I am learning today that there are Jews who have no problem with the tropes you are promoting. That's good to know.

But there are many who aren't. Here is one group https://www.theguardian.com/politic...es-campaigning-support-for-labour-in-election

Professor Annabelle Sreberny
MA (Cantab) PhD(Columbia)

University of London she and her family are practising Jews who have known Corbyn for decades like many jews in his constituencie and they also know about how the likes of Beger etc had an agenda

Watch the clip of her defending Jeremy

You always get one. This man is an antisemite. As many of you know, my wife is Jewish and her family, all from Mill Hill, all socialists, will not be voting Labour despite having a proud history in the party.

During the recent council elections, I put it to the local councillor doorstepper. He distance himself from Corbyn and admitted there is an issue. I put that to the Labour Party in an email and never even got a reply.

One?

Are you being serious literally thousands of Jews have come out to defend him in media even in that clip there are many many many

And from around the world and including Israel and have destroyed the myth perpetuated by the likes of Rupert Murdoch et al

I can provide so much evidence if you want me to

I too have Jewish family members who have married into my family and they will defend him to the last and abhor the tactics used by the likes if Luciana etc as they rightfully (MHO) muddy the waters and actually create an environment for it to thrive

I would start by looking at sites that are not even UK based like Jewish Voice for Peace to get a better holistic viewpoint on this or Simon Wisenthal Centre

No one is saying there isn't a problem with Anti Semitism in the Labour party but the actual facts are that it is less than any of the main parties...with the Tories being the worst

Labour have done more to combat it than any other party

Sooner your generation is dead the better. You will go down as the most selfish, greedy, feckless and selfish lot ever.
I will die when the good lord calls me until then I will continue to do what I want, when I want. I am old enough to recall the likes of Corbyn and his ilk causing wars and general mayhem in the world, but I can certainly inform you that folks of my age group will do everything in their political power to avert the disaster that awaits us if Corbyn is elected. Until then, to actually advocate me to die is imo just a little over the top .
Have a good day.

This is not a thread on the pro’s and con’s of Brexit but how it could effect football, the English National team and particular Forest.

The exchange rate! For a few months at least, is likely to have negative impact on sterling ( money not the player) and cost of any imports. Free movement of EU nationals could come under an Australian style points system. Although most players being young, healthy and coming to a sponsoring employer with shortage of required skills could score highly. There could also be leeway for time limited contracts. Depends on agreements the PL and EFL come up with.

Could mean all clubs become more reliant on British born players which in turn could put price of players from EFL back to pre Bosman equivalent levels. Could save smaller EFL clubs. Could mean academy becomes even more important.

Could shape our transfer strategy in next window to mean bringing in a shed full of young EU born players Or a couple of expensive imports on long contracts before shutters come down.

Is this an opportunity for football or a threat.

I wish I hadn’t started this thread. It was supposed to be non political. I even found myself responding to some of the views beliefs and info posted on here. Now it has descended to death wishes and demonising the mentally ill, can we agree to keep these discussions to football there are other avenues for these views/debates.

Corbyn caused wars back in the olden days, did he?
Must be why he is now famous for being non-interventionist and got some prizes for peace and disarmament.

Causing wars, indeed. There's plenty to criticize but causing wars does sound a bit silly.

Been considering freezing this one for a while.
