I don't have the stats, but we always seem to do well in pre-season.

Beat some Premier League side or a top division side from Spain or Portugal and win against a few lower league opposition.
 
Won 3-0 against Malaga in Marbella last season.
Beat Bournemouth 2-0 at home as well.

Beat Girona and drew with Burnley in 2017.

Beat Braga 3-0 in Portugal in 2016.
 
Does anyone remember when we played India under David Platt?

Crap game between a crap national side and a crap forest team but made much more interesting by the enthusiasm of the India fans and their drum.

We do always seem to beat a higher level team at some point. But a great pre season means nothing for the season to come

Although I remember one of the worst pre seasons ever was the season we were relegated to L1. We had a shocking draw away to Lincoln and got hammered 4-1 at home by Middlesbrough (on my 21st birthday :()
 
I used to love a tinpot preseason friendly. When I had nothing to do in the holidays I used to go with my mate to places like Lincoln, Mansfield, Gedling and Loughborough. Great fun.

Anyone remember the 'Umbro International Tournament' in 96 at the City Ground?

Chelsea, United, Ajax and Forest.

We were one up against United (Super Kevin Campbell) but we conceded 3 in the last 10 minutes and lost 3-1.
