Spuds are doing it all wrong in my humble.

Going off building their big new stadium when they have achieved the square root of nothing for years.

How about winning a few trophies first?.

Still, qualifying for the European super league counts nowadays is success . Sad.

Pickford lost the scouse derby for Everton.
Referee added 4 mins on yet they scored in the 6th minute of added on time.

See Spuds have started a slide down the PL table (again). And they're playing difficult with Eriksen over a new contract. Wonder who Poch will be managing next?

The Eriksen contract is Levy playing 'Billy Big Bollocks' again McP.
I bet if Poch was doing the negoiations, the new contract would have been signed within a couple of days of talks starting.

But even without winning nothing for years they have a big season ticket waiting list so building the bigger stadium was a necessity for that reason. Why shut out thousands of people every home game? That’s lost revenue and support, every season Chelsea do nothing their competitors will get stronger with the extra revenue (FFP) they’re generating in their bigger stadiums. Maybe the new stadium might help them to win something? We and spurs were about the same level not too many years ago and they’ve gone on to be a solid top 6 side qualifying for the CL a few times and coming close to the title, they’re now able to keep hold of their best players rather than sell them. Man U would pretty much always take their star performer but they can’t anymore. On the contrary we’ve gone on to be a solid Championship side in the same time.

Nah mate. Players win trophies not stadiums. Man Utd won trophies and got the best players (They also had a one off manager). Chelsea get the best players because they win trophies and can pay mega bucks .Citeh get the best players because the win trophies and can pay mega bucks.
Spuds don't pay enough. Never have . Levy won't. They don't win trophies. Their chance has come and gone to Leicester.

How many leagues or champions league is it Arsenal have won since moving to the Emirates?.
Wasn't West hams move to a brand new stadium the platform for great things?.

Build a team not a ground.

Chelsea get the best players because they could pay mega bucks and then won the trophies, you got that the wrong way round. Man U won trophies with products of their own academy which then enabled them to buy the best players (including our own Dwight Yorke) attracted to winning more trophies, they then started to capitalise on the increased support and expanded the stadium bit by bit. City are able to get the best players because they can pay silly money and now have the best coach in football (Like Man U did years ago) which in turn will attract more of the best.

The stadiums won’t win trophies but in a world of FFP they will certainly help the cash flow which in turn will attract the better players. Fergie is one of the reasons Old Trafford is 75,000 because he won trophies which attracted more fans and because he wanted it bigger to give them an advantage. City have the big deal with Etihad which helps them get by FFP and they’re also expanding it to 60,000+, all this means more and more money, money which is used to attract better players, better players win trophies, trophies attract bigger sponsors, sponsors equal more money... I can go on. The point is Tottenham are gonna be much better off playing in a brand new 61,000 capacity stadium opposed to the dated 30,000 odd they were playing in before.

If we had gone on to reach the champions league and continually make the top 4/5/6 I imagine we’d have a brand new North Stand and increased capacity to cope with the increased numbers coming to watch. Small investment in the short term but big return in the long term. Big players want to play in big stadiums no doubt about it.
